As one of the founding members of the 5G Public Private Partnership (5GPPP), Nokia Bell Labs will be sharing some of its 5G expertise at the European Conference on Networks and Communications (EuCNC) in Ljubljana, Slovenia, June 18-21. The conference showcases the results of Telecommunications projects and R&D programs co-financed by the European Commission, and this year’s theme is 5G and Beyond.
Nokia Bell Labs is participating in two special sessions at the conference. In the first session, which will take place on Tuesday, June 19, Colin Willcock will speak about Phase 3 of 5G-PPP and Didier Bourse will discuss the pre-structuring concept for ICT 19.
The second special session, entitled “5G Mobile Network Architecture and New Radio Advances (5GMoNANeRA)” will take place on Thursday, June 21. It will be chaired by Frank Schaich and Lars Christoph Schmelz and will present the latest results on the concepts on 5G radio and mobile network architecture from two key H2020 5GPPP Phase II projects: ONE5G and 5G-MoNArch). Contributing to the session, Bell Labs researchers Borislava Gajic and Diomidis Michalopoulos will share their cognitive network fault management approach for improving resilience in 5G Networks.
In addition to the special session, Nokia Bell Labs will be contributing to the following workshops, demonstrations and panels:
