Nokia Certified Optical Network Professional
Learn the foundations of WDM transmission and principles,
optical network design, network element architectures,
and management of Nokia 1830 PSS based networks.
Become a Nokia Optical Network Professional
The Nokia Optical Network Professional is an entry-level certification that is focused on understanding the essentials of optical networking. It is designed for engineers, IT, and network planning personnel who need to acquire the basic principles and practices of optical networking.
It covers the main concepts of Wavelength Division Multiplexing (WDM) transmission systems (principles, standards, and components) and focuses on three main themes: optical network design, network elements, and the network management system.

Learning outcomes
Upon successful completion of the Nokia Optical Network Professional, students will:
Develop a foundational knowledge of WDM transmission and principles, optical network design, and network element architectures.
Design and build a simple optical network using the 1830 EPT and NFM-T on a simple 1830 PSS-based network.
Establish a working knowledge of managing Nokia 1830 PSS based networks.
