Osman Yilmaz

Biography

Osman Yilmaz (Dr. Sc.) is currently the Director of Radio Protocol Inventions. Previously, he led Nokia's company-wide Research & Standardization programs on 5G-Advanced and 6G. Osman is the inventor of 100+ granted US patents and the author of numerous research publications and standardization contributions. While working at Nokia, he was awarded as a Nokia Top Inventor in 2013 for his innovations in cellular standardization, and the Nokia Outstanding Inventor of the Product Differentiation in 2023 for his past contribution to a major product innovation.
