Chunghwa Telecom, reformed from a governmental business unit of the Directorate General of Telecommunications (DGT), was established on July 1, 1996. We are the largest telecommunications service provider in Taiwan and one of the largest in Asia in terms of revenues. Our principal services include: domestic fixed communications services, mobile communications services, Internet services, and international fixed communications services.
With the rapid development of network environment, CHT not only promotes the fiber based broadband access services, but also provides many varieties of application services including on-demand streaming services (MOD, hiChannel), information security services (hiCare: Internet Porno Gatekeeper and Online Time Management, Information Security Fleet ), cloud services (hiCloud), remote video management services (Ucam), energy saving services (iEN), and mobile application services (mPro). CHT also focus on selected ICT services development and communication technology research.
